Handcrafted rings can be found in a never-ending variety. The reason for this is that each artisan brings his or her own unique perspective to the process. And of course, most artisans are continually trying to design new pieces.

While handcrafted rings can be made for any number of materials, silver and gold are the most commonly used. These two metals have been used for millennia due to their unique luster and because they are exceptionally easy to mold and shape. Today, the vast majority of the rings sold throughout the world are still made from these materials.

Many jewelers specialize in handcrafted rings. In some cases, larger retail stores will employ in-house designers that can create custom designs. There are also many online jewelers that create one-of-a-kind creations and sell them directly to the public.
